He was predeceased by: his parents, L. J. Jr. Sabin and Marguerite Sabin; his parents-in-law, Donald and Ardis Lamoreaux; his siblings-in-law, Donna Klungle and Don Perkins; his niece Toni Perkins; and his cousin Gerald Wilson.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sabin; his sons, Louis Jr. Sabin (Holly), Brian Sabin and Michael Sabin; his grandchildren, Samantha of Louis, Ryan, Zachary and Lucas; and his siblings-in-law, Don Lamoreaux (MaryJo), Lynn Klungle, Pamela Perkins and Alice Matthews (Tom).
