He was predeceased by: his wife Pearl; and his daughters, Janice Rathburn and Lynn Halsig. He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Everling Jr. (Dawn Apsey) and Michael Everling (Kim); his grandchildren, Mike Halsig (Megan), Tracey Halsig (Fiancé Dave McCauley), Sara Troup (Patrick) and Joshua Rathburn; and his sons-in-law, Mike Halsig and Steve Rathburn (Lori). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
