He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dimitrie Roman and Theresa Melnik; his nieces, Andrea Lange and Ashley McGowan; and his great-nephews, Charlie and Gus Graffey.
In lieu of flowers, he requested that donations be given to the American Diabetes Association, in that he suffered with Type 1 Diabetes for more than half of his life.
