It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth Welke of Belmont, Michigan, who passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Pitsch and Johanna Pitsch; and her siblings, Linda Sheldon, Helene Pitsch and Nicholas Pitsch.

She is survived by: her husband Louis Welke; her son Timothy Lukas (Jamie); her grandchildren, Stephanie (Austin), Kara (AJ) and Adam; her great grandchild Paisley; and her siblings, Richard Pitsch, Donna Sheldon (Richard) and Jean Hansen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or The Alzheimer's Association.
