He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wertz and Ella Wertz; his brother Walter Wertz; his aunt Ruth; and his uncle Leo Burke.
He is survived by: his cousins, Kevin, Carolann Burke (family: Lindsay, Andrew), Jay, Monica, Seth, Alexandra, Paul, Amanda, Maria and Elizabeth; and also, Jaina, Emrys, Matthew, Leo, Joshua and Arzate (family: Diana, Bryan, Joshua, Emmanuel).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (6396 Belmont Ave NE, Belmont, MI 49306). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to Mass on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (https://assumptionbvm.com) or to the Northview Senior Citizens.
