He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sly and Della Sly; his granddaughter Nicole Kidney; and his siblings, Marion Raab, Doris Brillhart, Dayton Sly and Durwood Sly.
He is survived by: his wife Rose; his children, Victoria Walker (Bart) of Ceresco, Lori Avers (Ron) of Jackson, Eugene Sly (Ellen) of Alston and Rick Sly (Kathy) of Hickory Corners; and his siblings, Duane Sly of Battle Creek and Jo Ann Green (George) of Battle Creek. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
