He was predeceased by: his parents, W. K. Avery and Margaret Avery (Fraser). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Martens; his children, Darren Avery (Katy) and Amanda Hubinsky (Paul); his grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Josephine and Coleman Avery; and his pet Smokey.
