He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Burkart and Madelyn Burkart (Hoepf). He is survived by: his children, Richard F. Burkart, Jr. (Maribeth) of Battle Creek, Raymond L. Burkart (Debra) of Battle Creek, Mark P. Burkart (Sharon) of Caledonia, Debora Murphy (Daryl) of Marshall, Nancy Ponscheck (Edward) of Battle Creek, Marilyn Higgins (Michael) of Bellevue and Theresa Carlson (David) of Battle Creek. He is also survived by his twenty grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Good Samaritan Food Bank, St. Ann Catholic Church, or the Fire Department all of Bellevue.
