She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Sampson and Victoria Sampson (Shackelford); her husband Billy Barnes; her siblings, Fred Sampson (Joanne), Jay Sampson (Margaret), Press Sampson (Florence) and Lillian Helton; and her siblings-in-law, Ray Thomas, Henry, Roy, Neal "Chet", Morsin Barnes, Flossie Jones, Helen Davis, Edith Silcox, Audley "Cleo" Carey, Dorothy "Cookie" Brodie and Grace Gay.
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Colby (Michael); her grandchildren, Joe Lorraine, Shannon and Mendy Colby; her brothers, Lon Sampson (Lana) and W. K. Sampson (Bartie); and her sisters-in-law, Joanne Widmer, Elaine Barnes and Margaret Sampson. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
