He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Cornett and Janie Cornett (Dillman); and his siblings, Terry, Jerry Cornett and Patty Rinesmith.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Ann Gonzales; his daughters, Connie Varner (Tom) of Jackson, MI and Amy Anderson (Dirk) of Munith, MI; and his grandchildren, Amber Platte, Amanda McDowell, Caitlin Anderson, Ethan Anderson, Jordan Henderson, Tayler, Luna, Violet and Christopher Varner. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in honor of Joe may be made to the Dakota Gonzales Memorial Scholarship Fund.
