He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Carolyn (Euler) and Edward Martin Colie II; and his siblings, Edward M. Colie III and Laura Kuhlmann. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Voorhaar); his children, Christian Colie (Danielle) of Taylor, MI and Daisy Tracer (Erick) of Southfield, MI; and his pets, Minnie and Maxie. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, colleagues, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the David C Brown Funeral Home (460 E Huron River Dr, Belleville, MI 48111). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe Humane Society and would be appreciated.

Matt was a remarkable person who generously shared his time and expertise, especially through his involvement in the Great Lakers, Dixielanders, and International GMC motorhome clubs. His online presence was invaluable, as he answered questions on the GMC motorhome forums, helping other owners with their motorhomes. Matt was one of the good guys. He will be missed.”
