He is survived by: his children, Erik Bates (Tina Viszmeg) of Bellaire, Bill Drollinger (Patricia) of Bellaire and Kimberly Cannon of Greenville, MI; and his grandchildren, Megan Tramlee of Lansing, Katie Slagle (Benjamin) of Bellaire, Mariah Baker of Taylor, MI, Christian Bates (Maddison) of Bellaire, Zachary Bates of Bellaire and Jonah Bates of Bellaire. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
