It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Jean Dewey of Bellaire, Michigan, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Eleanor Jean had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Eleanor Jean may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph B. Hardy and Dorothy J. Hardy (Robb); and her spouse Orland D. Dewey. She is survived by: her children, Kelley Shoecraft (Kurt) of Bellaire and Kevin Dewey (Tammy) of Shelby Township; her grandchildren, Kendall Shoecraft (Heather), Kathryn Shoecraft, Diana Cantu (Justin) and Devon Dewey (Kelsey); her great grandchild Colton; and her brother Robert Hardy (Marlene). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
