He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Ettema and Elaine Ettema (Vanderark); and his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Joanne Kalchik. He is survived by: his daughters, Kristin Atkinson (John) of Traverse City and Jill Ettema (Jeff Lance) of Ann Arbor, MI; his grandchildren, Connor Atkinson and Emmelaine Lance; his siblings, Randall Ettema (Lori) of Frankenmuth, MI, Richard Ettema (Maria) of Manassas, VA and Deborah Tanis (Norman) of Imlay City, MI.; and his parents-in-law, Virginia Kelly, Stephen Kalchik, Jeffrey Kalchik (Debra Karger) and Margaret Zuern (David). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
