She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Walker and Bethel Walker (Rose); her husband Bill; her mother-in-law Doris Black; her brothers-in-law, Russ Black and Chuck Wright; and her granddaughter Anna Braun.
She is survived by: her children, Sara Braun (Jon) of Howell and Matthew Black (Sarah) of Washington State; her sisters, Michele Mitchell (Denis) and Wendy Walker (Skip Dyes); her siblings-in-law, Sharon Dood (Tom), Jeanette Dorey (Jim), Randy Black and Dan Ryan; and her pets, Coda and Einstein. She is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Val may be directed to the Alvah N. Belding Library or the Belding B Foundation, envelopes will be available at the church.
