He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Nielson and Ida Nielson (Roomsburg); his sisters, Brenda and Linda; and his grandson Mason.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Leon W. Nielson Jr., Sara Clark and John Clark (Lisa); and his siblings, Helen C. Douglas (Gordon) and Russell C. Nielson (Brenda). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren.
