He is survived by: his wife LaVerna Christiansen; his children, Janet Heffron (Timothy) of Belding, Howard Mathewson (Valerie) of Belding, Norman Mathewson (Tina) of Belding and Dawn Hengesbach (Chad) of Westphalia; his grandchildren, James (Jassica), Brendan, Maura (Kenny), Ashlyn, Lauren (Chris Campbell), Johanna, Christian (Aylizza), Mikayla, Kyle, Maria, Tyler, Kierian, Brooklyn, Autumn, Addison and Landon; his siblings, Virgil Mathewson, Virginia Smalley (Bob), Marjorie Stockton, Dorothy Mrozovick and Leo Mathewson; and his siblings-in-law, Monica Mathewson, Arthur Annis, Richard Christiansen (Jackie), Clarence Christiansen (MaryLou) and Twyla Christiansen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
