He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeBerg and Etta DeBerg (Janssen); his grandson Tad DeBerg; and his siblings, Don Kruger (Leona), Bud Kruger, Ira Kruger, Mearl Kruger, Francis Kruger, Hazel Grotluschen, Elva Steenhoven and Katie Petersen.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his children, Brian DeBerg (Dianne) of Sheridan, Timothy DeBerg (Amy) of Gowen and Bonnie Petersen (Paul) of Sheridan; his grandchildren, Zachery Petersen, Trevor Petersen and Tori Carey (Joey); his great grandchildren, Emmett DeBerg and Jonathan Carey; and his sister-in-law Leona Kruger of George, Iowa..
