She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Cole and Laura Cole (Austin); her husband Johnny C. Ortiz; her son Donald; and her brothers, Thurland, William, Leonard, Robert and Albert.
She is survived by: her children, Johnny M. Ortiz, Kristine (Scott Houston), Connie Ortiz and Melissa (Carlos Tapia); and her sister Mary Hagadus. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
