He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carpenter and Thelma Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Amy Carroll of Beaverton; his daughters, Rena Carpenter of Auburn Hills and Brittany Carpenter of Harrison; his grandsons, Gabriel, Colt and Ryder; and his siblings, Scott Carpenter of Rochester Hills, Kris Taylor of Whitelake and Carrie Carpenter of Whitelake.
