With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Paul J. Schmidt of Beaverton, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Schmidt and Adella Schmidt (Demijohn); his daughter Valerie Lynn Sawyer; and his siblings, Vince, Jerry, Phillip Schmidt, Rita Schmidt, Julie Gutowski and Karen Clarke.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his stepchildren, E. Daniel Sawyer of Mesa, AZ, Michael Breck Sawyer (Rebecca) of Mesa, AZ, Roy Gene Sawyer (Johanna) of Tempe, AZ, Travis Lee Sawyer of Beaverton, Matthew John Sawyer of Mesa, AZ, Julie Susann Wilson (Bob) of Gladwin, Jeremy John Sawyer (Andrea) of Beaverton, Angela Marie Sawyer of Beaverton and Aaron Josua Sawyer (Meghan) of Yulee, FL; his son Benjamin Joseph Paul Schmidt (Shawn) of Clare; and his sisters, Dolores Kaulbach of Texas and Philamena Cowan (Cris) of Rocky Mount, VA. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
