He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert French and Linnie French; and his siblings, Vivian Shaffer, Lillian Wyman, Maxine Koch, Marian Rooker, LaVerne Hitsman, Leonard French and Clark French.

He is survived by: his son Herbert (Linnie French); his wife Sharon; his children, Tamera Graham (Gary), Steven French (Julie), Marybeth French, Joe Zeitz and James II French (Leann); his grandchildren, Joshua Loose (Maria), Kaleb Loose, Megan Max (Ryan), Mychal Graham (Maria), Jessica Mishler (Brent), Jordan Ritchie (Lance), Ethan French and Maria French; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, James, Mason, Lillie, Patrick, Evelyn, Josephine, Teagan, Juliana, Cameron, Reese, Jace, Hollis, Landrie, Donovan, Alexandra and Alana. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
