She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Vertican and Annette Vertican (Englert); her husband John Bearss; and her brother Scott Vertican. She is survived by: her children, Heidi Bearss of Harbor Springs and Jeremy Bearss (Genevieve) of New Market, MD; her grandchildren, Jonathan Bearss, Mikayla Lowell, Drew Lowell and Lorelei Bearss; her great grandchild Aspyn Bearss; her brothers, Carl Vertican (JoAnne) of Huntington Beach, CA, Gary Vertican (Georgia) of Bedford, VA and David Vertican (Diane) of Gaylord; and her adoptive son Pierre Agbodenou (Lucie) of Luxembourg.
