He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Nelson and Betty Nelson (Short); his parents-in-law, Art and Irene Ware; his brother-in-law Bert Clements; his niece Rhonda Harthun; his nephew Patrick Frain; and his great-nephew Gabe Acker.
He is survived by: his wife Alyce Ware; his daughters, Lisa Kennedy (Steve) of Manistee and Karen Babcock (Tim) of Arcadia; his grandchildren, Curtis Kennedy of Manistee, Sara Martinez (Mike) of New Mexico and Kelly Babcock (Max) of Haslett; and his siblings, Ron Nelson (Linda), Joyce Ware (Earl), Diane Keillor (Jon), Ruth Clements, Lois Harthun (LaVern) and Laura McBride (Roger). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken's name to the Bear Lake Community Food Pantry or the Bear Lake Athletic Boosters at Bear Lake Schools.
