He is survived by: his children, Michael Kern (Colleen), Michelle Sage (Robert), Shelia Kern and Pamela Hill-Kern (Angel); his daughter-in-law Darlene Kern; his stepsons, William Keilitz (Marianne) and Matthew Bigelow (Laura); and his brother Herbert. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
