He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Dammer and Sophia Dammer (Kosnik); his spouse Ara N. Vance; his son Donald Dammer; his siblings, Patrick Dammer (Germaine) and Stella Nowicki (Edward); and his sister-in-law Dolores Dammer.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Dammer of Bay City and Michael Dammer (Darlene) of Linwood; his daughter-in-law Sharon Dammer of Bay City; his grandchildren, Amy Wingeier (Mark), Becky Smith (Russell), Patti Hazen (Shane), Stacie Martel (James), Vallerie Miller (Chris) and Chad Dammer (Jenna); his great grandchildren, Madeline, Samuel, Isaiah Wingeier, Maxon, Jackson Smith, Jakob, Walker Hazen, Skylar, Teagan Martel, Kennedy, Parker Miller and Sophia Dammer; and his brother Donald Dammer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
At the time of Ara's death in 2020, no services were held due to Covid restrictions.
