He was predeceased by: his parents, Norbert Tacey and Lottie Tacey (Kosnik); his daughter Candice Schalk; and his siblings, John Tacey (Sue), Marilyn Burke (Joe), Kathy LeCronier, Christine Yarabek and Connie Martin.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his daughters, Michelle Manko (Joe) and Anna Tacey (Greg Beachy); his grandchildren, Maria Schalk, Nathan Manko, Dominic Schalk and Noelle Manko; and his brothers, Larry Tacey (Margaret), Dennis Tacey (Janine) and Michael "Mickey" Tacey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Gephart Funeral Home (201 W Midland St, Bay City, MI 48706).
