He is survived by: his wife Marsha Vanderlooven; his children, Stephanie Doud (Adam), Paul Koperna Jr., Jennifer Neering (Russell), Randy Willette (Sarah) and Michelle Willette; his grandchildren, Alexis Koperna, Nathaniel Neering, Paul Koperna III, Russell Neering, Kaylee Valliere, Jayden Valliere, Todd Haselbeck, Elysa Senft and Peyton Will; his siblings, Barbara Riesle, George Koperna (Diane), Ruth Crumlich (Toby), Ann Reichert (Dale), Darryl Koperna (Tammy), Deborah Williams, John Koperna and Joseph Koperna (Dusk); and his in-laws, Steve Vanderlooven (Gwen) and Lori Schoof (Wayne). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Military Honors and Memorial. A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services – Bay County (821 N Pine Rd, Essexville, MI 48732). The military honors was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
