He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Helmreich and Elsie Helmreich (Erlenbeck); his wife Louise; his brothers, Nelson Helmreich and Kenneth Helmreich; his siblings-in-law, Lois Helmreich and Lloyd Guettler; and his nephew Gregory Helmreich.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Wegener (Ken), Faye Hamel (David Lasecki) and Leslie Helmreich (Lori); his grandchildren, Kayla Hamel, Crystal (Ryan), Mark, Melissa Wegener, Sydney and Riley Helmreich; his great grandchild Keygan Hamel; his brother Wayne Helmreich (Joann); and his sister-in-law Marie Helmreich. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Monitor (5545 8 Mile Rd, Bay City, MI 48706). A burial was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at the Lutheran Home Cemetery.
