He is survived by: his wife Carol Joan Jermalowicz; his sons, James Jr. and Scott (Debbie); his grandson Justice Scott; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Groth (Rosemary), Gloria Frelick (Michael) and Deborah "Debbie" Bucherri (Paul); his cousins, Marcie Mitchell, Dawn Silkowski and Terry Silkowski; and his sister-in-law Rosalie Angeli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
