He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Burley and Fern Burley (Cuthbert); his wife Phyllis Burley (O'Kon); his grandson Andrew Switala; and his siblings, Jack Burley, Jim Burley, Norma West, Janice Young, Beverly Herber, Mary Jo Robb and Judy Hovey.
He is survived by: his children, Lori, Lisa Middleton, Russell Burley (Marcie), Randall Burley and Matthew Burley; his grandchildren, Ashli Hein (Travis), Nicholas Switala, Christina Middleton, Brittany Sheibels (Timothy), Wendy Burley, Emmett Burley, Emily Burley, Alice Burley, Skylar Burley, Raylene Burley, Jake Carpenter and Morgan Burley; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Maciejewski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Squires Funeral Home (211 N Henry St, Bay City, MI 48706). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church (1000 S Wenona St, Bay City, MI 48706). A burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Floral Gardens Cemetery (2215 Cass Avenue Rd, Bay City, MI 48708).
