He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Kurek and Elaine Kurek (Averill); his uncle Harold; and his aunt Louise Weiss. He is survived by : his siblings, Cheryl Dietzel (Vaughn) and Terry Kurek (Vicki Sutherland); his nephew Justin Dietzel; his niece Stephanie Burback (Chris); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kailey Maxwell, Ethan Garzon, Kobe Govitz, Keadon Dietzel, MaryKay Burback, Kaide Dietzel and Kirsi Dietzel.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gephart Funeral Home (201 W Midland St, Bay City, MI 48706). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
