He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilford Martin and Leona Martin (Sequin); his sons, Douglas Martin (Lisa) and Daniel Martin (Kristin); his grandchildren, Stephanie LaPointe (Noah), Brandon (Jamie), Clayton (Kristen), Alexander (Adrienne), Arisa Bringolf (Robert), Logan and Morgan Martin; his great grandchildren, Kailani, Aston, Landyn, Colten and Saylor; his sister Marlene Landowsky; his close friend Shirley Nutt; his sister-in-law Arlene Martin; and also Beverly Norgan.
