He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Justa and Angeline Justa (Heinz); and his sister Rosalee Justa. He is survived by: his wife Ruth C. Steyer; his son Jonathan Justa (Amy); his grandsons, Adam and Paul; his close friends, Peter Steyer (Kathy), Jim Steyer and Gloria Steyer; and his nieces, Amanda Heilman (Travis), Shannon Steyer (Ryan), Stephanie Steyer (Vince) and Kristin Kozuch (John). He is also survived by in-laws who were more like siblings.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Squires Funeral Home (211 N Henry St, Bay City, MI 48706). A vigil service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Church (1000 S Wenona St, Bay City, MI 48706).
