It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan N. Kern (Bay City, Michigan), born in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on August 25, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Kern and Shirley Kern (Kristalyn). He is survived by: his wife Leona J. Solomon; his children, Darren Kern (Michele), Heidi Kohn (Timothy), Heather Anderson (Adam), Beth Andreski (Brad) and Kristen Rajewski (Kurt Theisen); his grandchildren, Seth, Alan Kern, Jackson, Charleigh Andreski, Abigail Zavala and Anderson; his great grandchild Hunter Kern; his siblings, Jacqueline Colpean (Carl), Jeffrey Kern (Roxanne) and Susan Quinnan (Brian); and his sisters-in-law, Ardith Fales and Joy Heintskill (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to Brian's House or South West Little League.
