She was predeceased by: her parents, Alyce Parker and Doyle Scott; her grandparents, Lillian Cromwell, Addie Scott, Odie Cromwell and Robert Scott; her brothers, Douglas and Bobby Scott; her grandson Dominique McKinney; her uncles, Odie Cromwell (Jackie), Ronnie Cromwell, Robert and Carl Scott; and her cousin Richard Cromwell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kia Townsend-Williams (Leodis) and Kandace Townsend-Johnson (Andre); her sisters, Paula Casey, Mary Scott-Boria (Rafael) and Margaret Scott; her grandsons, Lerone McKinney (Mannie), Ondre Johnson and Solomon Johnson; her great grandchildren, JeMear, Dominique and Orion McKinney; and her nieces and nephews, Tonja Morgan (Jessie), Carmen Scott-Boria, Daryl Jones and Jason Eason. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mount Zion A. M. E. Church (364 W Van Buren St, Battle Creek, MI 49037). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
