With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Samuel B. Van Boven of Battle Creek, Michigan, born in Youngstown, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Boven and Ida Van Boven (Buell); his wife Jo of President's Club; his daughters, Lynda Van Boven, Julie Van Boven and Diane Van Boven; and his siblings, Sally Jerue, Charles Van Boven and Gretchen Howe.
He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Van Boven (David Beck) of Boston and Andrew "Andy" Van Boven of South Lyon, Michigan; and his grandchildren, Emma, Zachary, Grace and Katherine Van Boven. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care (105 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
