He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Wayne Mitchell and Helen Mitchell (Weller); his wife Sonja (Herman); his children, Michael Mitchell of Mesquite, NV, Joel Mitchell (Emily) of Portage, Benjamin Mitchell (Melonie) of Hudson, Julie Wilcox Messing (Roy) of Mt. Pleasant, David Scott Wilcox (Amy) of Battle Creek and Lisa Myers Smoker (Jason) of Byron Center; his brother Jack Mitchell (Chris Francis) of Fayette, OH; his grandchildren, Hayley, Kelsey, Sydney Mitchell, Pierce Mitchell (Lylah), Rhys Mitchell, Jeffrey Messing (Olivia), Andrew, Annmarie Messing, Lauren Mullins (Jordan), Alex Wilcox, Caden and Cohen Smoker; his great grandchildren, Theodore Mitchell and Paislee Mullins; and his former life partner Linda Stewart (Bob) of Coldwater.
