In loving memory of Robert LeRoy Nelson Jr. of Battle Creek, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who departed this world on February 15, 2025 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his father Robert LeRoy Nelson, Sr.. He is survived by: his family Bob; his wife Opal Nelson (Buchanan); his daughters, Angela Morgan (Mark), Jennifer Ganka (Mike) and Amy Schaub (Bryan); his sister Cecelia Goff (David); and his grandchildren, Adam, Alexis, Amanda, Zachary, Jacob, Emily, Anthony and Hayden. He is also survived by loving father to his three beautiful daughters.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care (105 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017). A rosary was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Philip Catholic Church (92 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Battle Creek Area Catholic Schools Foundation in Bob's honor.
