He is survived by: his mother Anna Shive (Gauss); his spouse Shelley Jo Cotter; his children, Rick Shive, Grant Shive (Brittany), Audrey Shive, Adrian McNees (Richard), Marc Cotter (Lisa), Mike Cotter (Michelle) and Dana Thomas (Wayne); his siblings, Cathy Seppa (Craig) and Cindi Handyside (Chucky); his nephews, Jonathan Jones, Tyler Shepard, Caleb Handyside and Charlie Handyside (Tonya); and his uncle Hugh Gauss (Maxine). He is also survived by his 31 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.
