We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2025, at the age of 84, Norma Jean Hawthorne (Battle Creek, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Norma Jean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Norma Jean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Hackett (Frank) and Violet Beatty (Lower); and her brothers, Paul Hackett and Bill Hackett. She is survived by: her husband William Hawthorne (Bill); her children, Bonnie McInnis (Dave) of North Carolina, Sherri Felter (Doug) of Augusta, MI., Jim Hawthorne (Danielle) of Battle Creek and Lori Palumbo of Hastings, MI.; her grandsons, Tyler Kerr and Gregory McInnis; and her siblings, Danny Beatty, Bob Beatty and Kathy Atton. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
