She was predeceased by : her parents, Bennie Coleman and O. C. Coleman (Louis Hobbs); and her son Larry Evans. She is survived by : her husband Melvin Evans; her grandchildren, Tico Evans of Battle Creek, MI, Marcel Mayberry of Battle Creek, MI, Enid Evans of Chicago, IL, Michiko Alvarenga of Lansing, MI and Myken Mayberry of Lansing, MI; and her daughter-in-law Mycheal Gamble of Peoria, AZ. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Zion AME Church (364 W Van Buren St, Battle Creek, MI 49037). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
