She was predeceased by: her fathers, Guy Alexander and Cecil Alexander; her husband William John Read Jr.; and her siblings, Darell Alexander and Barbara Alexander Velasquez.

She is survived by: her siblings, Sandra Bader and Gerald Alexander (Barb) of Owosso, MI.; her children, Carman Purtee (Keith) of Brooklet, GA, Jeff Foster (Wendy) of Clio, MI and Clayton "Buzzy" Foster Jr. (Sherry) of Barton City, MI.; and her grandchildren, Kurtis Purtee, Crystal Leeseberg, Keaton Foster, Chelsea Foster, Austin Foster and David Hunt.

Any donations may be sent to the Women's Auxiliary of the Barton City Eagles Aerie 4141.
