He was predeceased by: his father George Cordes; his brother James Cordes; and his aunt Marion Martin. He is survived by: his wife Georgetta; his mother Florence Cordes (Green); his children, Carl Cordes (Ashley) of Mio, Danny Cordes (Jacqui Fuhst) of Alpena, Mike Cordes (Brandy Shiner) and Stephanie Fry of Mio; his grandchildren, Ava and Jaylin Cordes; and his daughter-in-law Nikki Cordes.
