He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Excell McNeilly and Dorothy; his wife Betty McNeilly; his sons, James A. and Michael L. McNeilly; his siblings, Edwin McNeilly and Elizabeth McNeilly; and his stepparents, Elery Lewis and Margaret McNeilly.
He is survived by: his children, Mark McNeilly (Mary) of Barryton, Peggy McNeilly of Big Rapids, Pam Maguire (Mike) of Reed City and Timothy McNeilly (Joanne) of Kentucky; his daughters-in-law, Deborah McNeilly and Kim Smith; his sister Eloise McNeilly of Pretty Lake; his stepsiblings, Ty Strong (Paulette) of Diamond Lake, Bud Strong (Jeri) of Barryton and Sandra Stevens of Remus; and his siblings-in-law, Faith McNeilly of Lake, Pam Gardner of Lansing, Kenneth Gardner of Charlotte and Jerry Gardner (Dolores) of DeWitt. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren.
