It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sandy Gerlach (Baroda, Michigan), born in Saint Joseph, Michigan, who passed away on December 4, 2019, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thompson and Dorothy Thompson (Swink); her son Royman A. L. Carlock; and her siblings, Danny Thompson and Susan Tole.

She is survived by: her husband Bruce Gerlach; and her pet Spooky. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

Memorial donations in Sandy's name may be made to The Humane Society of Southwest Michigan.

“Sandy was the first neighbor I met when I moved to Baroda 27 years ago. She was always ready to help when she saw a need... like the time I accidentally stabbed my hand and she came over to doctor it for me. She lied about the peroxide not stinging, and then laughed at my reaction. The street won't be the same without Sandy's laugh echoing off the houses.”
