He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Trapp and Elizabeth Trapp (Oppermann); his siblings, Harold, Lyman, Charles Trapp, Loretta Hocott, Marcella Reitz, Evelyn Reitz and Aldythe Zech; and his siblings-in-law, Norma Freehling (Ray) and Alan Schmaltz.
He is survived by: his wife LaVerne Schmaltz; his son Joel Trapp; his sister Betty Gaul; his sisters-in-law, Judy Lebsack (Lyle) and Sandy Dixon (Bob); and also Pork.
