He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Schmaltz and Hattie Schmaltz (Zielke); his wife Helen Fester; his daughters, Cindy Fechner (Rick) of St. Joseph and Autumn E. Schmaltz of Coloma; his grandson Daniel Fechner of St. Joseph; his siblings, Delores Hildebrand of Berrien Springs and Dennis Schmaltz of Grand Rapids; his sisters-in-law, Harriet Fester of Bridgman, Dolores and Jeanette Fester of Benton Harbor; his close friend Bill Lentz; and his daughter Debra Schmaltz. He was also cherished by numerous nieces & nephews.
Masks & Social Distancing will be required for both the service & visitation.
