He is survived by: his wife Laurel Stephens of Perronville; and his siblings, Dorne Stephens of Perronville, Kevin Stephens of Norway, MI, Patrick "Dooly" Stephens of Green Bay, WI, Terri Rossi of Gladstone and Rose Robbins of Maryland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“Mike, The distant miles always kept us somewhat out of touch and we never made the opportunities to see each other as often we wished. But you will always be in our hearts and remembered to me as the glue that held the UP side of our family together. I remember the last time you and Lori were in Florida and how great it was to see you both. Just wish and am learning, how important it is to spend time with family who truly care about that bond. My condolences to Lori and the family.”
