He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Porath and Marcella Porath (Chouinard); his stepmother Rita Porath; and his sisters, Lana Deviley and Barb Schram.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Ann Clairmont; his children, Dawn Gobert (Cliff) of Kansas, Donna Frederickson (Eugene) of Escanaba, Denise Aberle (Josh) of Ohio and Dan Porath of Escanaba; his grandchildren, Ashley, James, Courtney, Tiffany, Nathalie, Shay and Brooke; and his siblings, Diane Hooper, Carolyn Thoune, Mary Bittner, Lori Dubord, Larry Valiquette, Yvonne Waller, Kathy Valiquette, Margaret Reiffers and Nancy Porath. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
